Nanometer magnetite was prepared by chemical co-precipitation in this paper. The experiment conditions which affect the particle size and magnetic characterization were analyzed.Taking advantage of biodegradability, non-toxicity and biocompatibility etc, polysaccharides which including chitosan, dextran and starch act as radix-material of magnetic-targeted carrier. Magnetic chitosan, magnetic dextran and magnetic starch were prepared by emulsification cross-linking and chemical co-precipitation separately. The size and magnetic properties were evaluated using selected effective parameters. The characterization of polysaccharides-radix magnetic compounding particles were carried out with SEM, IR, laser scattered particle analyzer, magnet, etc.In order to attain the purpose of complexing radionuclides, the polysaccharides-radix magnetic compounding particles were modified with EDTA which was able to chelator ion. IR indicated that the hydroxyl of magnetic compounding particles succeeded in esterifying with the carboxyl of EDTA.
