Bonding Of Organic Phosphorus And Organic Ligands Heteropoly Compounds

The metal organophosphonate system has received continuous attention in recent years owing to their unusual structural chemistry and the potential applications as catalysts molecular sieves, nonlinear optical materials, catalysts, catalyst supports, and ion exchangers. The H+/MoO42-/HEDP (HEDP = 1-hydroxyethylidenediphosphonate, denoted H4L) acid system has been investigated and a wide diversity of compounds have been isolated from aqueous solutions and characterized by X-ray diffraction. A few transition metal-HEDP complexes have been structurally characterized. A number of one-dimensional Lanthanide-LHn(n = 1-3) compounds have also been reported. However the transition metal / MoO42- / HEDP system has not been reported. Here, we first research a series of transition metal / MoO42- / HEDP system and four new bimetallic organophosphate complexes have been synthesized, successfully.Na8[Co{Mo2O6CH3C(O)(PO3)2}2] . 18H2O(I)Na7[Fe{Mo2O6CH3C(O)(PO3)2}2] .23H2O (II)Na8[Ni{Mo2O6CH3C(O)(PO3)2}2] .23H2O (III)Na7[Cr{Mo2O6CH3C(O)(PO3)2}2] .24H2O (IV)All the new complexes were characterized by IR, UV-Vis and cyclic voltammogram. The crystal structures of (I), (II) and (III) were determined by X-ray single-crystal analysis. The compound (I) was also characterized by thermogravimetric analysis and (II) and (III) were also characterized by 31P NMR.Two heteropolytungstates containing trivacant Keggin anion XW9O339-(heteroatoms = As and Sb) have been synthesized. Their formulas are as follows: Na6(C5N2H7)[{Na(H20)2}3Co(H2O)5{Co(H2O)}3(AsW9O33)2].27H2O(V)Na9[{Na(H2O)}3{Ni(C3H4N2)}3(SbW9O33)2].47H2O(VI)The two compounds were characterized by IR, UV-Vis spectra and elementanalysis. Thier crystal structures were determined by X-ray single-crystal analysis. TG-DTG and CV were recorded for them. The properties of compound (VI) in solution were studied by 1H NMR and ESMS.
