In recent years, it has attracted a great deal of attention that TiO2 films possess photocatalytic activity and super-hydrophilicity. In this thesis,TiO2 series thin films were prepared by sol-gel method and the properties of these films were researched and analyzed. The results are shown that the crystal of TiO2 film is affected by the factors of thickness, heat-treated temperature, and time of heat preservation which change the photocatalytic activity and super-hydrophilicity of TiO2 film.It was found in the course of doping that doping of Ce and La to TiO2 film improves the photocatalytic activity and the hydrophilicity, however, if the addition of these two elements is over a certain content, which will decrease two kinds of properties because they don't possess the photocalalytic activity and hydrophilicity, and decrease the effective surface of film as the superfluous Ce and La deposit the surface of film.It was shown in technology research that the effect of film thickness, heat-treated temp'erature and time of heat preservation on the photocatalytic activity and hydrophilicity of La-TiO2 film and Ce-TiO2 film is similar as that pure TiO2 film.Two different substrates was adopted in this study, that the crystal of TiO2 film on S substrate is developed better than on glass. Under the same disposal condition, the photocatalytic activity and super-hydrophilicity of film on S substrate is higher than on glass was found.
