| Anaerobic Sequencing Batch Reactor was a novel types of high-rate anaerobic reactor invented in the 90's, and attracted people much attention in recent years. This paper aims to study on technological characteristics of the ASBR and start-up of soybean processing wastewater treatment by ASBR.The paper expatiated the fundamental operating principles,characteristics, process parameters of ASBR on the base of papers of forieign and home. Synthetic wasterwater containing glucose and soybean processing wastewater was proposed by ASBR to discuss the start-up and technical characteristics of ASBR,The emphasis were put on the discussing and investigating of the main factors influencing the proposed process and the removal efficiency of ASBR in the proposal of soybean wastewater and the ways of these influences. Mathematical deduce and theorical.analyse of technological charac--teristics of ASBR was also made.It revealed that:(1) By its priciples,ASBR has many advantages compared with other kinds of anaerobic reactors . Sludge granulation and treatment of low strength wastewater at normal atmospheric temperature was basic characteristic of ASBR. Summarise of the results of recent studys on ASBR revealved that the main factors influencing the process and efficiency of ASBR were: ratio of higth and diameter of the reactor,the ratio of water feed and reaction time,alkalinity and pH,temperature,organic load rate etal. ASBR was fit for the treatment of soybean processing wastewater owing to it's inherent sequent operation and the simple equipments treatment.(2) Synthetic wasterwater containing glucose was propsed by ASBR at a constant temperature of 35 "C,The influence's COD was 2000mg/L,circle time was 12,24,48 hour ,and load was 0.7~2.8gCOD/L-d, the removal rate of COD was up to 99% after 20 days,and COD of the effluent was 20 mg/L. The start-up was completed in a very short time,the removal rate of COD was up to 90% in 10 days, The circle time of 12 hour was the best.(3) The ASBR was capable of achieving in excess of 95 percent COD remove efficiently for treating of soybean wastewater at average inffluence COD of 10000 mg/L and COD load rate of 2.8~8.1 g/L-d. The main factors influencing the proposed process and the removal efficiency of ASBR in the proposal of soybean wastewater and the ways of these influences: the circle time of 24 hour was much better; sequenced mixing was much better than continuous mixing; alkalinity is important to the start-up of ASBR ,the pH should be controlled in the range of 6.8 ~ 7.5; temperature fluctuating of short time to ASBR was very small;at initial stages of start-up,while OLR 4.0gCOD /L-d, tp/ta had no effect to the removal efficiency, after start-up was completed ,while OLR 8.0gCOD/L-d, tF/tR had no effect to the removal efficiency.(4) The concentration of organic substance in semi-continuous trial followed someregularities. Interval time of influence and effluence, The concentration of organic substance of the influence,the ratio of the capacity of the influence/effluence and the total capacity of the intermixture were factors influencing the change process. |
