Short Glass Fiber Reinforced Mc Nylon Composites Mechanical Properties

The performances of GF/MC nylon reinforced composite is researched in detail through reinforcing and modifying the performance of short glass-fiber by testing its mechanical properties, wear experiment and analyzing the micro-morphorogy, gets the composite-glass fiber reinforced monomer casting nylon (GFRMCN) with very excellent properties, and offers the theoretic bases of costs and properties and producing scheme for composite pipe.The various factors relevant with the composite properties from the surfacial treatment, the time of adding to the base material, the length and content of glass-fiber etc aspects is discussed in this article. Sticking strength of the interface between MC nylon and GF can be increased by adding 0.2% KH-550 coupling agent. When the quality proportion of glass-fiber and caprolactam is 3:7, the composite has the most excellent properties adding the short glass-fiber of 0.154mm without alkali with the catalyzer, NaOH. The SEM photos indicate the microcosmic structure of composite, testify the material differences on macroscopic properties by comparing the material distribution status and interface combination situation.
