Abstract/Summary:
Polysulfone amide is a kind of new refractory fiber made in china. In this paper me have a systematically research of the physical property, chemical property and also the spinnability of polysulfone amide, among which we mainly have a discuss of the thermal property of it.In this paper we determine the glass transition temperature of polysulfone amide by differential scanning calorimeter, use thermogravimetry, analyze its thermal destruction ability. As for the outcome of thermolysis we make a analysis employing high resolution pyrolysis GC-MS, basing on which we analyze the toxicity of polysulfone amide when it is under combustion condition. During the course of researching we test the mechanical properties of polysulfone amide under different thermally treated condition, the consequence indicate that polysulfone amide possess good thermal stability. At the same time we adopt test of hypothesis analyze the test result proving that the mechanical properties of polysulfone amide are different with the variation of the thermal treat condition. As for the cause of the phenomenon we give out an explanation from the aspect of molecular structure.Other property of polysulfone amide explored in this paper is its spinnability. Polysulfone amide is a fiber of poor spinnability. We improve this property of polysulfone amide via blending polysulfone amide with cotton, Kevlar andelectroconductive fiber. Then we weave two types of fabric using this blended yarn on the sampler. The testing about the flame retardance indicated that the blended fabric containing 64% polysulfone amide isn't content with the request of retardant protection fabric. The fit blending ratio needs a further study.
