| Apocynum venetum fiber is a kind of fiber with fine dressing performace. It is praised as "King of the wild fibers", and it is good at moisture absoption and ventilate. Apocynum venetum is wild material. It needs not spraying pestcide and fertilizer even it is planted, and it can be degraded by living beings. Therefore, apocunum venetum is one of the friendly "Green fibers" of ecology. Products made of apocynum venetum fiber have medical treatment and health protection function and antibacterial property, they can restrain the increment of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Antibacterial textiles made by apocynum venetum fiber are well received by domestic and international consumers. But at domestic and international research current situation at present, there is no clear answer on antibacterial property and mechanism of apocynum venetum fiber. There is even no an evaluation method of antibacterial property of apocynum venetum fiber. According to the forefather studies, this subject carried on the following research on the antibacterial property of apocynum venetum fiber.(1) Choose and establish suitable testing method. According to the influence on antibacterial property of testing circumstance, choose the testing parameters, such as pH value of buffering liquid, content of broth, thickness of bacteria liquid, shaking time and speed of rotation.(2) Test antibacterial effect of the root, stem and leaf of apocynum venetum. Through analysing its chemical elements, render the reason of the different antibacterial ability. Test antibacterial ability of apocynum venetum when it is degummed(bast, first scoured, second scoured, degummed fiber). Test antibacterial ability of apocynum venetum fiber after several times washing.(3) Test antibacterial effect of apocynum venetum fiber on different bacteria and fungus, and analyze the reason and mechanism of different antibacterial ability on different microorganisms.(4) Give a quantitative evaluation to antibacterial ability of apocynum venetum, hemp, flax and ramie fibers.(5) According different standards, test antibacterial ability of mixed spun fabrics of apocynum venetum and cotton with different mixing rate.(6) Make mathematics analysis on antibacterial results; establish a mathematics model of antibacterial process of apocynum venetum fiber in the end.According to the experiments of this subject, the following conclusions can be drown:(1) The antibacterial ability of apocynum venetum fiber is too weak to form a antibiotic zone on the culture medium. Flask-shaking test can make bacteria and fibers keep touching each other completely, and then examine the antibacterial rate by colony numeration.(2) Test parameters have some certain influence on antibacterial property of apocynum venetum fiber. According this influence, choose test parameters, and then evaluate antibacterial property of apocynum venetum fiber.(3) Through the research of antibacterial mechanism, it can be known that antibacterial elements in root are Glycosides and Hydroxybenzene, those in stem are Hydroxybenzene and Tannins, those in leaf are Glycosides, Hydroxybenzene and @ -sitosterol. Because of existence of Tannins, apocynum venetum fiber has a stronger antibacterial ability on G" bacterium, and a relatively lower antibacterial rate on G+ bacteria.(4) Different bast fibers have different antibacterial abilities on different microorganisms. Hemp and ramie fibers have high refrain impact on bacteria, and have lower influence on Candida albicans. Flax fiber refrain Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans more seriously than on Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.
