Koukuining buccal tablets is a new traditional Chinese Medicine, made from Potentilla freyniana Bornm., Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch., Mentholum etc. To research and study the new product, a lot of experimental studies are needed to be finished: studying on the extraction process of Potentilla freyniana Bornm. etc.; pharmaceutical technology; Quantity standard research and so on.According to the main effective compound many appropriate methods to finish the experiments. With the orthogonal test, regarding Gallic acid as index, to well choose the water extraction technology of herbs; with the orthogonal design, to choose the proportion technology of affiliated materials and making Koukuining buccal tablets; to establish the quality standard and test on HPLC.The best water-extraction conditions: soaking two hours with six times water, boiled three times, two hours for each time.In aspects of the quality standard and stability test: We investigate the use of TLC on the separation and identification for Potentilla freyniana Bornm., Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch., Mentholum in the Koukuining buccal tablets. HPLC is selected to determine the content of acid of Koukuining buccal tablets. HPLC column: ODS-C18 (4.6mm x 250mm,5um); mobile phase: methanol-water-acetic acid(18 : 81 : 1); wavelength: 272nm; HPLC column temperature: 35℃. The result shows that the method is simple, special and accurate.In order to inspect stability of Koukuining buccal tablets, the room-temperature and the accelerate test for three months has been carried out. The results show that every index mark is normal in the experiment period.Conclusion: The experimental results are consequently complete. Studies on the extraction of Koukuining buccal tablets are better. The results have the certain value and could provide reference to further deep research. The extraction process is reasonable by the Orthogonal design. The optimum process is stable and has a certain testing value to industrialization producing. The formula of buccal tablets is complete and reasonable. The moulding technics of buccal tablets is convenient and credible, totally matched the requests of the buccal tablets. The research of the quality standard is reasonable, the method of determining content is stable, sensitive and accurate and the method of determining can be used as standard quality control.
