Based on a large amount of investigation on coastline scour phenomenon in Sheng Li Oil Field, the principle of coastline scour in Huang He River Delta is discussed in this paper. Engineering prevention and cure method for coastline scour is emphasized to study. The coastlines and regions, which are necessary to protect urgently, are indicated. To different coastal hydrodynamic conditions and different geologic conditions in different sea regions, different engineering protection methods are adopted. According to 'to protect seashore to save coastline' and 'to silt to protect seashore', based on indoor physical experimentation and leading project test in Fei Yan Seahore and Gu Dong, the. structure model selection, stability, scour resistance, engineering reliability and economy of shallow jetty are thoroughly discussed. The effective method to solve coastline scour is showed up. And the successful seashore protection and silt promotion results are gained. Effective coastline scour protection is of economically significance. A lot of practical projects, each kind of relative experiment material and relative paper are collected to analyze and discuss. This paper provides experimental support and scientific basis to the Sheng Li Oil Field protection. And it provides scientific theory basis and practical experience to the all-around coastline scour protection of Huang He Delta.
