| Ash deposition is one of the most important factors that cause serious problems during the operation of utility boilers economically, safely and efficiently. The factors caused fouling and slagging include coal quality, boiler design and boiler operation, but coal quality is the most important one. In recently, with the development of electricity produce in China, more and more coal fired utility boilers were put into use. At the same time, a larger amount of Jurassic coal fields were deplored, these low ash melting coals have the virtues of low sulfur, low ash and middling-high heat value will be more used as thermal coals. So the ash deposition issue will be more difficult than before. To ease ash deposition issue of Jurassic coal fired used in boiler is the most important intention of this thesis.Main contents of this thesis are as following:1. At first, it's a summary of the research results on fouling and slagging, including slagging mechanism, slagging affected by ash composition, methods of prediction boiler slagging, and shortage of these methods of prediction boiler slagging .2. Aiming at strong slagging problem of Shenmu and Datong Jurassic coals, blending with Pingshuo and Shuozhou coals in order to alleviate Jurassic coals strong slagging problem. With the combustion test of blended coals of slagging characteristic of drop furnace, a new method of prediction boiler slagging named drop furnace slagging exponent prediction was put forward.3. In this paper, the advanced X-ray diffractometer was used to carried out quantitative analyses mineral matter in blended coals, combining with combustion test of drop furnace, influence of mineral matter on slagging characteristic was studied and larger amount of valuable achievements were obtained.4. At last, depended with the combustion test on the power plant boiler of Shenmu and Datong blended coals in contrast with other coals, it was checked by blended coals actual application results and the new prediction boiler slagging. |
