Flame retardant nanoparticle diantimony trioxide and melamine salt of bis(2,6,7-trioxa-l-phosphabicydo[2,2,2]octane-4-methanol)phosphate are prepared in this dissertation. XRD, TEM, DTA, FT-IR are used to identify the products. The particle distribution is uneven in hydrochloride acid system and this method is simple. The Sb2O3 particles with an average diameter of 30-40 nm are obtained by hydrolyzation of alcoholate. The effect factors, such as alcohol agents, surfactants, temperature of hydrolyzation, time of hydrolyzation, rate of strirring, azeotroprism, are studied by orthonormal experiments and control experiments. The optimal conditon obtained is as follows: the system of SbCh and TX-10 solved in benzene and iso-propanol is undergone hydrolyzation with vigorous agitation at 35 for 16 min, then azeotropism is applied to dehydrate the final product to decrease agglomeration. A new method of homogeneous precipitation heated by microwave irradiation could improved the size of nano-Sb2O3 to 20~30 nm. At the same time, the particle distribution would be narrower. The unit quantity of heat absorbed of nanoparticles is more than 20 times as high as common particles with an average diameter of 1 m. FT-IR results show that IR absorption of nano-Sb2O3 is red-shift and strengthened. Melabis is also synthesized in this work from phosphorous oxytrichloride, pentaerythrilol, melamine and water via three steps and the yield is 83.5%.
