Foam fluid is one of gas drilling fluid which, because of low density, hastwo special characteristics- low static pressure and being able to formcompact gas bubbles. So they are a lot of merits when used in drilling compared with conventional drilling fluid. With the particular advantages foam fluid drilling has been the important proportion of underbalanced drilling. During all practice of foam drilling, measuring rheological properties of foam under high temperature and pressure conditions is an important basic study which is the theory foundation of the drilling practice. But at present the majority of study about rheological properties of foam is under the room temperature and general pressure conditions, which cannot meet the practical demand. So through a lot of experiments and mend we designed a set of complete test means and equipments about foam rheology properties under high temperature and pressure conditions and then did a lot of experiment-study . The study work consists of 3 parts:1. We offered the theory foundation of the test of foam rheology properties under high temperature and pressure conditions based on capillary viscometry and then designed the whole equipment based on former study.2. We tested some foam's rheology in application of our own equipments and analyzed the experimental data and results, then come to a conclusion.3. Based on our conclusions , we did the computer simulation of foam drilling in underbalanced conditions.
