Abstract/Summary:
The synthesis processing of poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) PDMDAAC with high molecular weight was studied in the paper. The monomer diallyldimethylammonium chloride was purified by a certain process. The infuence of some assistant agents on the intrinsic viscosity of product PDMDAAC was investigated by use of three different concentration of monomers, respectively. The process of polymerizaion was optimized. The intrinsic viscosity of product PDMDAAC obtained under optimum process conditions was 1.89dL/g. When the reaction time was prolonged, the intrinsic viscosity of product PDMDAAC could reach 2.41dL/g, and no higher than this value 2.41dL/g of intrinsic viscosity of PDMDAAC was reported in domestic publications until now.
