Nanoparticles are attracting a great deal of attention due to their interesting morphologies and particular properties. Selenium is an important semiconductor material and a necessary trace element for human body. Selenium nanoparticles possess superiority photoelectric performance and higher biological activity, so the preparation of nanoselenium is becoming an important research direction.Polysaccharides are main energy sources of human body and possess some important physiological functions. In this paper, polysaccharides were used as the soft templates in synthesizing selenium nanoparticles which were produced with the reduction of selenious acid by ascorbic acid. The effect factors of synthetic reaction were studied and selenium nanoparticles obtained were characterized.Our main work:1. The importance and the synthetic methods of nanoselenium were reviewed.2. Nanoselenium was synthesized using Konjac Mannan (KM) as the template.3. Nanoselenium was synthesized using Chitosan oligosaccharide (COS) as the template.4. Nanoselenium was synthesized using Chitosan (CTS) as the template.5. Nanoselenium was synthesized using Acacia gum (AG) as the template.6. Nanoselenium was synthesized using Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC) as the template.7. Summery and conclusion.
