Ultrasonic plastic welding is an economical and efficient plastic binding method, it has great application foreground. To develop the welding strength is the center of recent research and having got achievements. But the knowledge about the mechanism of ultrasonic plastic welding is not abundant and basically, the research about ultrasonic precise plastic welding is vacant. All that restricts the development of this new technique.Focusing on the mechanism of ultrasonic plastic welding and on the development of the welding strength and welding precision, using the method of experiment and simulation, using the RPVC material, this paper carries the studies as follow:1. By analyzing the influential factors of ultrasonic plastic welding, finding the optimal factors that fit to weld RPVC and by studying the relationship between factors and the melting layer thickness. This paper offers the practical instructions to develop the welding quality.2. By using finite difference method and finite element analysis method, building the calculating model of simulation and simulating the temperature field, stress field and deformation of ultrasonic plastic welding, this paper provides the theory for precise welding.3. With the result of experiment and numerical simulation of layered welding type, this paper analyses the melting process of plastic and gives the new views of understanding the mechanism of ultrasonic plastic welding.4. This paper analyses the disadvantages of layered welding and gives the measurements that can be used to resolve the disadvantages and shows that the energy-oriented-ridge welding type is the best style for ultrasonic plastic welding.5. This paper summarizes the effect of energy-oriented-ridge welding type and simulates the temperature field, stress field and deformation, also finds the suited degree of energy-oriented-ridge for welding RPVC by experiment.
