Circular diamond saw-blade is one of the main cutting tools for cutting stones, Its property greatly affects the quality of the processed stone. And the axial run-out is an important factor in determining the property of saw-blade. Although automaticity of the stone-cutting machine has been greatly improved, measuring system of saw-blade distortion and tension-processing technology are still under low level. So it's a significant task to design and develop an automatic system in measuring the axial run-out of circular saw-blade with microcomputer.This paper elaborates the automatic measuring system, with the reduced design of hardware and software, which can realize such functions as collecting the axial run-out of saw-blade, asynchronous communicating between the measuring system and a PC, processing data, displaying and printing the axial run-out and distortion on screen.
