Chitin and the deacetylated form , chitosan are a kind of rich natural polymers .They have recently attracted great attention of numerous investigators in different countries because of their unique chemical and biological properties. A series of N-maleoyl chitosan was synthesized through the reaction of malic anhydride and chitosan in homogeneous solution .These derivatives are completely or partly soluble in water .FTIR spectrometer and UV spectrometer are used to characterize the structure of the derivatives .The influence of reaction conditions such as the mol ratio of reactants ,the time ,the temperature and the concentration of HAc on the properties of products are discussed .Some products' isoelectric point, hygroscopicity ,retention characteristic and the solubility in different pH solutions are studied here .At the same time ,the influence of concentration ,shear rate ,temperature ,time , the pH ,and salt on the rheological properties are also investigated. |
