In this paper, the electrodeposition technology of Ni-Pd alloy coating on monocrystalline silicon substrate and Ni-Co alloy coating on silica fiber substrate were studied. By means of XRD, SEM, AES, the morphyology, structure, and the properties of Ni-Pd coating were analyzed. The deposition mechanism of electroless nickel on monocrystalline silicon was discussed tentatively. The main content and experiment results include:(1) By a special pretreatment, a contract and evengranular Ni-P coating was deposited on the monocrystalline silicon without catalyst. After electroless nickel, the specimen was deposited a Ni-Pd coating as the contact resistance of silicon. The electroplating technology was studied by perpendicular experiment. The optimal electroplating conditions and the influence of technology parameter were acquired.(2) The measure result of the contact resistance of Ni-Pd coating showed that the Ni-Pd coating had a excellent contact properties. The content of Palladium in the coating had a great influence on the contact resistance of the coating. With the growth of content of Palladium in the coating, the contact resistance of the coating decreased.(3) The analysis results of XRD, SEM indicated that the Ni-Pd coating formed a FCC structure. After annealing at 200癈, a little amount of PdSi was precipitated in the coating. The surface image of Ni-Pd coating was utricle.(4) Preliminary investigation of the mechanism of electroless nickel on silicon showed that the catalysis of .silicon surface was acquired by the oxidation of silicon that prompts the deposition of nickel.(5) The corrosion properties of Ni~Pd coating and Ni-Co coating were measured by loss-weight methods. The results indicated that this two kinds of coatings had excellent corrosion resistances in thein0.5mol/LH2SO4fn 5%NaCl (adjusting PH=3 with CH3COOH) solution.(6) The study of electroplating Ni~Co coating on silica fiber showed that a special pretreatment must be preformed before electroless nickel because of the smooth surface of silica fiber.(7) A Ni-Co coating was acquired by means of eletroless and electroplating. The influence of technological parameters on cobalt content in the coating was studied and a optimal technology was obtained.(8) The result of SEM, OM showed that the Ni-Co coating had smooth surface.
