The property of Niobium /Niobium Penoxide was studied and the hydrochemical method was chosen for preparing Nb20o ultrafine powder. In this paper, the optimum conditions were found for preparing the ceramic capacitor ultrafine Nb20s powder (average diameter 0. 1?. 2 urn) by the homogeneous precipitation. The effect of the reaction temperature, the final pH value, the concentration of reactor, the type of dehydration/and additive on the effect of Nb(OH)s powder's size and distribution was inspected, and the calcined temperature on the Nb^O.i powde's size was as well as.It was proved by TG-DTA, TEM, SEM, XRD, BET and CILAS that the Mb (OH) 5 particles were average (average diameter 0. 07um) and its distribution was narrow after drying at 80~100癈 under the condition of 0. 2?. 4Mol/L HzNbOFo, Nto ?toO as precipitating agent, athanol and acetone as dehydrations. Experiments also showed that the ultrafine Nb20s powder had narrow distribution and little agglomera with specifc surface 14. 44m"7g, average size 0. lum and purity 99.95% after burning at 670癈. It is a method with uncomplicated equipment and simple flowsheet, little pollution and high quality.
