This research aims at exploiting a kind of catalyst as a substitute of the Ni/Si-Al catalyst for naphane steam reforming imported from Austria. The self-prepared Ni/Si-Al catalysts are prepared by impregnation of nickel nitrate solutions on co-precipitation Si-Al supports. The effects of the components of the catalysts, the calcination temperature of catalysts and supports are investigated. In addition, the effects of La2O3 additives on the activity and carbon deposition amount of catalyst are studied. XRD, TG-DTG and TEM are used to characterize the catalysts. The LPG and n-butane steam reforming activities of the imported catalysts and the self-prepared catalysts are researched. The results are as follows:(1)The self-prepared catalyst has excellent activity for n-butane and LPG steam-reforming reaction. On the same condition, its reaction result is close to that of the imported catalyst.(2)To self-prepared catalyst, the optimal reaction temperature for n-butane or LPG steam-reforming reaction is 750-800癈 and S/C could be as low as 2.0.(3)The amount of carbon deposition on self-prepared could be decreased by adding La2O3 to Ni/Si-Al catalyst.(4)The imported and self-prepared catalyst is mainly composed with a -Al2O3, Si2Al6O13, NiO crystal.
