Poly(monoallylmine) dyes were synthesized granted by the natural science fund of China, which have good application properties on silk.It was investigated the preparation of allylamine in liquid ammonia and ethanol in the presence of CuCI and the influence of temperature, time, pressure, and ratio on the reaction. When liquid ammonia was the solvent, the mass percentage of monoallylmine in the product was 46.8%; when ethanol was the solvent, the mass percentage of monoallylmine was 78.83%, the structure of which was characterized by GC-MS. The Uniform Design was applied to optimize the experiments.It was discussed the synthesis of allylamine by reacting polyamine and allyl chloride in ethanol and the influence of solvent, ratio, catalyst, and quantity of dydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide on the reaction. The yield of allylamine was 86.6%, the structure of which was characterized by GC-MS.It was studied the polymerization of allylammonium chloride using the redox initiator system of ammonium persulfate and sodium bisulfite and the influence of quantity of the initiator, temperature, and time on the yield and viscosity. The yield of PAA chloride was 73.0%, and the structure was determined by IR.Two polymeric dyes of red and yellow without azo group with PAA chloride as raw material were synthesized and applied on silk. The silk dyed with the red polymeric dye had the exhaustion of 97.1%, the fixation of 99.2%, the alteration of 4-5, the cotton staining fastness of 3, the silk staining fastness of 3, the dry rub fastness of 3, the wet rub fastness of 3 and the light fastness of 4.
