Corrosion is very popularly in refinery industry, chemical industry, natural gas industry and their feeding pipeline. Corrosion accidents are happened sometimes because of corrosion cracking. Stress corrosion cracking is one of the most dangerous accidents. In this paper, slow strain rate test is adopted to investigate the effects of H2S concentration, C1 concentration, pH and temperature on 1 6MnR and 31 6L austenite stainless steel. The equation to evaluate 1 6MnR corrosion sensibility index is revised. After the test results F(A), F( T) and F( ? were regressed with the uniform design software package, the ratio of the area under the SCC curve to the baseline line curve- F(A) is most suitable to evaluate 31 6L steel sulfide stress corrosion cracking sensibility and the equation are selected as follows: F(A)=? l.46+O.61X3?.12x1O2X4+1.84x1O5X1X2+3.O9x1O5X22 In which X1, X2, X3 and X4 are concentration of H2S, Cl, temperature and pH of the environment respectively. Scanning electron microscope photos of 31 6L speciment fracture are analyzed, it was found that Cl is more effective to stress corrosion of 3161 steel while H2S is less effective. When Cl concentration is below 25Oppm, the speciment fracture belongs to plastic cracking. When Cl concentration is 25Oppm, stress corrosion features begin to occur. When Cl- concentration is 31 Oppm, stress corrosion features are very obvious. In this paper, several types of corrosion sample were laid in the oil refining plant to study equipment corrosion. Average corrosion velocities are obtained by studying uniform corrosion sample. Average crack propagation velocities were obtained by studying Wol sample. Combing with metallographs of the speciment fracture and videomicroscopy, more features of 1 6MnR steel were understood.
