| Under the single part and little lot manufacture, splay linear profiledesign has been very mature theory for Spiral Bevel and Hypoid Gears. Butfor large lot, in order to reinforce the hard metals skiving cutter'sintensity and shock resistence, the bigger negative cutter inclinationangle is needed, so the profile error increases greatly. The thesisprovides splay arc profile design, which contains the merits of splaycutting, which cutter edge obtains negative rake angle and negative tiltangle, becomes an arc which is tangent to the theoretical cutter edge inthe middle point of gear contact area. The results represent that theprofile error decreases greatly, which satisfies the higher profileprecision under the large lot manufacture and overcomes the limit oflittle nagetive cutter inclination of splay linear profile design. At thesame time, the thesis finishs the skiving cutter's three dimensionalparametrical feature modelling and the finite element analysis for hardmetals cutter, thus the skiving cutter geometric parameters are optimizedand selected, the structural factors for the tipping and disruption canbe found at the scale of cutter mechanics. The feasibility of the newprofile design and finite element analysis has been validated byexperiments. |
