The coordinated control system of steelmaking converter tilting motor is directly related to the continuity, reliability and production efficiency for the production. The four sets of motor speed and torque for converter tilting system is difficult to synchronize,which affect the stable operation of the converter system, which will failure in serious trouble. How to realize the coordinated control of tilting motor speed has become the research problem. In this paper, Shougang Jingtang steel mill 300 tons of converter as the research background, researches on this problem.The main contents of this paper are the following:(1) The load characteristics of the converter and the converter tilting torque test and calculation. According to the analysis of the characteristics of the tilting mechanical transmission, The proposed control system design must have quick response, speed following error, torque following stability and smooth operation of equipment With tilting system starting, stopping and tipping; Based on the load characteristic and tilting moment is tested and calculated, analyzed the rated power is 380KW, rated speed and load capacity of AC variable frequency motor of 982r/min. The results show that, the selected motor can meet the rapid response, smooth start and stop of the transmission system requirements.(2) Proposing the multi motor master-slave control idea based on fuzzy PID control. Variable frequency speed controller choose speed, current (torque) double closed loop control structure. The main motor speed control is completed by fuzzy controller, and the output torque of the main motor which being used as the 3 slave motor torque loop control inputs are given to achieve the 4 motor synchronous speed control.(3) Designing a master-slave multi motor control system. From the viewpoint of engineering application, I design a master-slave multi motor control system. The hardware part of this master-slave multi motor control system mainly consists of PLC, the choice of frequency converter, and interface of PLC system and the frequency conversion control system; Communication design of master slave motor control consists of communication control for Profibus inverter, Simolink synchronous communication between inverter. In addition, the realization process of fuzzy PID controller are described in detail.The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the master-slave control system, and this paper demonstrates the feasibility of fuzzy PID control method by simulation.
