For now, there is still lack of the study of the porous materials radiation area. A study of porous materials radiation characteristic is proposed, in order to clarify the characteristic of radiation heat transfer of the surface of the porous material, obtain the evaluation of the radiation of different porous material parameters, guide the design of the porous material for industrial production, clarify the impact of different parameters of the porous material on its radiation, disclosed the "cavity effect" of the porous material. We built a porous material radiation experimental device, studied the effect rule of one hole material "cavity effect", simple porous material’s "cavity effect" and complex porous material’s "cavity effect".The result shows that, changes of 4 parameters, temperature of the material, shape of the hole, the shape of the hole distribution, hole depth distribution, are barely affected to surface emissivity; surface emissivity roses at the beginning then dropped later with the increasing of the pore diameter; surface emissivity roses at the beginning then steady later with the increasing of the hole depth; With the decrease of the cosine, the surface emissivity gradually reduce; With the increasing of the hole depth of the second layer, surface emissivity roses at the beginning then steady later; With the increasing of the hole diameter of the second layer, surface emissivity shows a prior slow growth and then a sharp upward trend. According to the experimental data, we conducted a formula fit for hole material and simple porous material, compared the measured results of the porous material with the fitting formula calculated values, the comparison shows the measured results and the calculated values are almost the same, verified the applicability of the formula.
