With the development of the production and technology in our nation, the quantity demanded of large diameter bar is more and more, and the quality requirement is much high. In order to obtain high-precision, high-quality bars, straightening is an essential step. At present, the studies of the large diameter bar straightening rarely in our country, a bit of the studies are using multiple skew rollers to straighten. But, the multiple shew rollers machine has empty straighten area. So, it wastes the material. Two-roller straightener has no empty straighten area and its straightening precision is very high. So, it can make up the shortcomings of multi-roll straightener. Therefore, the study on large diameter bar straightening using two-roller straightener has important theoretical value and practical significance.Based on the elastic-plastic theory, the relationship between the stress and the strain in bar straightening process is analyzed. The relationship among the variety of curvature is also analyzed. Considering the strengthening of material, the formula of bending moment and curvature ratio in the process of tube straightening is deduced.This paper introduces the design method of subsection curvature roller shape in detail. The segmentation curvature straightening roller shape for φ 100~ φ 150 mm large diameter bar have been designed, Using finite element software MARC to simulate two roll bar straightening process and stress and strain in bar straightening process is analyzed.Referring to the results of FEM simulation, straightening roll gap curvature was reselected based on the theoretical analysis.The revised roller shape was verified by finite element simulation that the straightening machine straightening quality significantly improved.The force parameters in the process of straightening include straightening force and energy consumption are analyzed in theory and comparison is made between the FEM calculation results and the theoretical analysis results.of straightening force. Conducted a study on the reclining when bar straightening roll diameter and material change,and calculate the angle resize using MATLAB Programming, Provide a reference for future theoretical study and selection of process parameters.
