Bellows tube heat exchanger is a new kind of heat exchanger which can significantly improves the heat transfer performance. The exchanger has highly popular in designer because of its excellent heat transfer performance. Conventional heat exchangers manual calculations, especially the heat exchanger calculations, including the calculation of heat transfer coefficient, heat transfer area and heat checking are time-consuming and labor-intensive process. There has a variety of different software for the design of traditional exchanger, but the developing of the bellows tube heat exchanger software, has not been reported.This paper describes the general steps of the basic principles of bellows tube heat exchanger and heat transfer design software development. In this paper, by using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 programming software and combining with the corrugated tube heat exchanger design process, a set of software is designed in view of heat transfer calculation system. In this way, the calculation in the design of the bellows tube heat exchanger is complete through the man-machine dialogue. This work mainly includes heat transfer coefficient, heat transfer area, heat checking and piping design and so on. The results show that using this software omits the complicated manual calculation and making the development of the corrugated tube heat exchanger more quickly, accurately and the application more easy. At the same time, in the software development process, the water- water heat transfer model and steam- water heat transfer model are integrated in the same software. In this way, heat transfer without phase change or with phase change expands the use of this software.The software set up some query window in the development process, including the pipe thermal conductivity of the query window and the nodal control center query window. In the design of piping window, complex piping drawings with GDI drawing methods in the program to draw on the screen can significantly saving the time of piping designer. Form and calculation sheet provides convenient design for the future.
