White solder resist ink is a type of material with special function which mainly uses for printing circuits board of LED products. Solder-resist and refrecting light are its main function.It is known to all that the best effect of reflecting light is white colour,which can decrease optical losses and make LED light source more energy-saving.However,the ink made by manufacturers in China is blue-white colour because of the bad anti-yellowing property in high temperature.The product and technology of high-end white solder resist ink are monopolized by large foreign enterprises.The purpose of this research is to overcome the technical problem of yellowing in high temperature and difficult UV curing.Then,develop two types(photoimageable and photocurable) of white solder resist ink.Firstly,we synthesized heat-resistant,anti-yellowing,alkali soluble UV resin which was used for photoimageable white solder resist ink.We started with molecular design and chose non- phenylic monomers with both good anti-yellowing and other properties to run the reaction of polymerization.Then,used acrylic acid and anhydride to modify this copolymer through two step reaction to prepare three types of alkali UV resins.We discuss the influence between the add way of catalyst,the type of inhibitor and synthesis of alkali soluble UV resin. The type of monomers and acid value had large effect on heat resistance and Tg of alkali soluble UV resin.We also use FT-IR、TG、DSC、GPC to characterize their synthetic process and performance.Secondly,we carried on fomula research with above-mentioned alkali soluble UV resin and made a photoimageable white solder resist ink.We found out that the type of alkali soluble UV resin,acid value of the resin, viscosity of the resin,composition of photoinitiator,type and dosage of filler have a great influence on the properties of ink.We decided on SZ01-GMA-HEMA alkali soluble UV resin as matrix resin whose acid value between 80 and 100, viscosity between 30000 and 40000 mpa·s in 25℃.We also confirmed a formula of photoimageable white solder resist ink with best overall performance.The curing coating of the ink has many advantages,such as heat-resistant,anti-yellowing, high reflectance, high hardness,high adhesive force,easy facial drying,easy developing,acid and alkali resistance.It can meet the applied requirements of photoimageable white solder resist ink.Finally,we carried through the preparation of cycloaliphatic epoxy UV resin and the research of photocurable white solder resist ink.We chose several liquid cycloaliphatic epoxy resin and use AA to modify to obtain cycloaliphatic epoxy UV resins.Their structure was analyzed through FT-IR and heat performance was analyzed by TG. The above-mentioned cycloaliphatic epoxy UV resins were used to preprare ink.We found the type of cycloaliphatic epoxy UV resins, type and dosage of photoinitiator and reactive diluent,curing time had a large effect on the performance of ink.The ink using the cycloaliphatic epoxy UV resin of AA-UV-TTA26 had great performance.Finally, Optimum proportion of different component was confirmed.The curing coating of the photocurable white solder resist ink had great performance especially in hardness, adhesive force,heat-resistance.
