With the development of titanium industry, high grade natural rutile resource increasingly drying up, this will force people to the development and utilization of ilmenite resources is abundant, carry on the economic and reasonable utilization has become an important subject.This subject adopts certain iron tailings as test ore samples. Through the study of the technological mineralogy of ore sample research first, and then after two grinding, magnetic separation of iron tailings two pieces of ilmenite concentration, finally got qualified products titanium concentrate by flotation. The results showed that due to the grade of iron tailings of titanium is low, it is only through combined process of stage grinding, magnetic separation, flotation to get qualified products. The ore is ground in two stages, with the first stage grinding size being 60%-200 mesh and the second stage 85%-200 mesh, after two magnetic separation, obtained grade right into the floating raw material, after a roughing, once three times of scavenging, select, realized the closedcircuit process, step by step back with sulfuric acid to adjust p H value, sodium fluosilicate as inhibitor, MOH- 2 and diesel as collector, can get the production rate was 5.53%, the titanium grade is 47.15%, recovery rate of 53.43% qualified titanium concentrate.Through the determination of adsorption and infrared spectrum analysis, studies the collector MOH- 2 and the effect of the mineral. Results show that the ilmenite and collector before and after the ir spectra of different obviously, a new absorption peak, which can be determined, collector MOH- 2 in ilmenite surface chemical adsorption.
