With the demand for oil growing rapidly in each industry Under current situation, the oil industry has developed fastly. Pumping Unit a Essential Mechanical Equipment in oil industry has developed rapidly too. the development situation of Reciprocating Pumping Unit in domestic and international, Pumping Unit Energy Saving Method and the basic requirements of Pumping Unit in china have been discussed on this paper. The integral structure of Reciprocating Pumping Unit is designed,The strength of the major parts is checked on this paper. Finally the Stresses of the main pylon is Analysed by using the finite element analysis software ANSYS. The Specific contents of this paper as following:(1) The integral structure of Reciprocating Pumping Unit is Designed by using chain pumping unit for an example. The Motion, Static load, inertial load, vibration load and friction load of Pumping Unit hanging point isanalysed。(2) According to the working conditions, The maximum and Minimum load of Pumping Unit hanging point is calculated.(3) The Motor power, Reducer Torque of Pumping Unit have beendeterminated, The strength of the major parts is Checked.(4) The Static structure,modal and Linear buckling of Pumping Unit have been analysed by using the finite element analysis software ANSYS. Then the structure of themain pylon is improved.
