Ion exchange resin, a new kind of organic polymers, have become the focus of a great plenty of current research of modification and catalysis. According to its chemical composition, it can be divided into two types, which are department of styrene resin and acrylic resin.The resin, due to its large surface area, having good selectivity and stability, and so on, has played an important role in many areas. However, for lack of effective active sites, thus, providing simple reactive sites for PS-DVB was the focus of the study in our research group.Many research work have been done about the macroporous resin in recent years, such as preparation, characterization and catalytic.The results have also been achieved about the research of orgnic. We described modified PS-DVB catalysts for the Knoevenagel condensation reaction in high yields under operationally simple conditions using environmentally benign water and ethyl alcohol as solvent. An important feature of the functonalized PS-DVB catalyst was that it was convenient to recover and recycle. And the catalyst was recycled over 8 times without significant loss in activity. Moreover, that catalysts also showed good catalytic activity in the Knoevenagel condensation reaction. In addition, the macroporous resin in supported catalysts was used in Olefin hydration.The first part is about literature review. The application of modification of mesoporous resin was reviewed.The second part is about experiment content, the major work are as follows:1. Sulfonyl chemical resin was functionalized with chlorosulfonic acid and PTSA, and characterized by means of FT-IR analysis and elemental analysis.2. Aldehyde and malononitrile synthesis of a, b-unsaturated dicyanides products catalyzed by sulfonylation PS-DVB in water.3. Knoevenagel condensation of isatins with malononitrile was under theconditions of sulfonic acid functionalized silica.4. The hydration reaction of cyclohexene and water catalyzed by Sulfonyl PS-DVB in water.5. The hydration reaction of butene and water catalyzed by Sulfonyl PS-DVB in reaction bed.
