Currently, sucker rod pumping is the most mature and widely adopted oilfield lifting technology. Over eighty percent of oil wells use beam pumping unit. In order to improve the oil production efficiency during the oil production, reduce the energy consumption, the balance states of beam pumping unit should be timely inspected and regulated. Based on the equilibrium state of beam pumping unit, how to automatically adjust the balance in real time is an important subject.In this thesis, on the basis of the balance of pumping unit at home and abroad research situation a new auto-balancing scheme has been proposed. Driven by its selfgravity, with the electromagnet controlled by balance detecting device, the mechanism can implement unlock and lock function, and then balance the beam pumping unit.The main task includes: Determining the mechanism working principle according to the scheme; Detailed structure design; 3D modeling; Motion simulation and Dynamic analysis; Structural mechanical property analysis; Application of DFMEA in lock mechanism, Potential failure model and Potential causes/ mechanisms analysis, Recommended actions to improve the reliability of the product.With great environmental adaptability and low balancing cost, the program which has great significance on oilfield energy saving and beam pumping unit service life increasing can automatically adjust the balance of the pumping unit.
