Corrosion problems often lead to corrosion or perforation of the process piping in the petrochemical industry. Medium in the pipe is high temperature, high pressure, flammable and explosive hazardous chemicals. And if the pipeline damaged, the medium will have the potential to be on fire or explosion. Therefore monitoring the pipeline thickness is particularly important. This paper developed a high-temperature pipeline ultrasonic thickness measurement device for detecting thickness online and the main works are as follows:(1)According to the corrosion monitoring detection methods abroad the Working principles of corrosion probe, corrosion coupon, pH probe were interpreted.(2)Secondly, the physical characteristics of the ultrasonic, definitions and formulas of sound pressure, sound intensity, refractive index, reflectivity were explained in this part. Then the mechanism of the inverse piezoelectric effect of the piezoelectric wafer to produce ultrasonic waves were studied and chosen as the method to produce ultrasonic in this paper.(3) Developed the hardware based on MAXQ7667,which include ultrasonic transmitter circuit, ultrasonic receiver circuit, wireless transmitter interface, temperature compensation circuit.(4)In order to meet the purpose of on-line measurement, this article designed a set of probes and fixtures. When the design is completed, Installed the system in the petrochemical site to prove its availability. to prove the function of the probe Using ANSYS software to simulate the temperature distribution of the probe when contacted 320℃. To minimize the effects of temperature, this article designed thermocouple module. Using the MAX6675 module to Data processing and cold-junction compensation of thermocouple.(5)To achieve wireless data transmission, select Wireless HART protocol as the wireless transmission protocol which is based on IEEE 802.15.4.
