With the development of modern technology, the demands for microwave absorbing materials are growing. The research of microwave absorbing materials focus on nanocomposites. Graphene, with low density, high specific surface area, high electrical conductivity, as well as large scale production, is a perfect carrier materials. Graphene is also an electric loss materials because of its permittivity. In this paper, graphene oxide was prepared to couple metal oxide, then reduced to prepare metal oxide/graphene composites, including Fe2O3/graphene composite, Fe3O4 nanorod/graphene composite, Er2O3/graphene composite. The structure and microwave absorbing properties of metal oxide/graphene were studied. Fe2O3/graphene composite was prepared by liquid phase method. The microwave absorbing properties were improved compared with graphene. The maximum absorbing peak is-25dB at 13.2GHz when the match thickness is 3mm.Fe3O4 nanorod/graphene composite was prepared by hydrothermal method. The length of Fe3O4 nanorod is about 100 nm, and its diameter is about 25 nm. When the match thickness is 2 mm, its maximum absorbing peak is-27.4dB, and the microwave absorption of Fe3O4 nanorod/graphene values less than-10dB is in the ranges of 9.8-17.8GHz.Er2O3/graphene composite was prepared by hydrothenmal method. The composite can not absorb microwave effectively, some more research should be done to improve its microwave absorbing properties.
