PC/ABS alloy can take good advantage of both their merit, and it is widely used in automobile industry and electronic appliances and other industries. PC/ABS alloy is semi compatible blend and in order to improve Improves performance of the interface and its mechanical properties, the most efficient way is to add compatilizer. The compatilizers of PC/ABS alloy can be divided into two types:the reactive compatilizer and the non- reactive compatilizer. Whether the reactive compatilizer or the non- reactive compatilizer, both they cannot enhance the properties of PC/ABS alloy roundly. Developing new compatilizer and compounding with existing compatilizer, which can increase properties completely, is still a research hotspot. In this paper we synthesize a new compatilizer called Poly(hydroxyaminoether)(PHAE),and comparing with PS-g-MAH (SMA) and PP-g-MAH(PPMAH), we discuss its effect on interface Properties of PC/ABS alloy. The main research contents are as follows:First, we confirm the extrusion processing with Huck torque rheological experiments and the extrusion temperature is 245℃, extrusion speed is 80r/min.epoxy resin react with ethanol amine, we can obtain PHAE.Secondly, we respectively study the compatibility, mechanical property, torque rheological properties and heat-resistant quality of PC/ABS alloy containing PHAE, SMA and PPMAH compatilizer. Results:Ⅰ. PHAE is mainly incompatible with PC phase; when the content of PHAE is 1phr,the properties is the best, and now the tensile strength is 58.3MPa, flexural strength is 91.7MPa, notched izod impact strength is 41.3KJ/m2; With the increase of concentration of PHAE, both the equilibrium torque and distortion temperature of PC/ABS decrease. Ⅱ. SMA is mainly incompatible with PC phase; we can get good performance when adding 2phr SMA compatilizer to PC/ABS alloy, and the tensile strength is 60.9MPa, flexural strength is 88.9MPa, notched izod impact strength is 41.4KJ/m2; the distortion temperature of PC/ABS alloy is rising with the increase of the content of SMA, adding SMA to PC/ABS alloy has on effect on the processing fluidity of the blends; as the content of SMA is 5phr, the distortion temperature is 107.3℃, increase by 7℃. Ⅲ. PPMAH compatilizer are mainly distribute in the interface of the PC/ABS alloy; As the content of PPMAH compatilizer is increasing, the tensile strength and flexural strength decrease in direct proportion, but the rate of descent is different. We can get maximum notched izod impact strength when the content of PPMAH compatilizer is 3phr, and the equilibrium torque and distortion temperature are almost the same with the increase content of PPMAH compatilizer in PC/ABS alloy.Finally, we study the effect on interface of PC/ABS alloy containing composite compatilizer. The results show that the composite compatilizer is better than the One-component compatilizer when the SMA compatilizer and the PPMAH compatilizer combine,and the SMA compatilizer is 2phr, the PPMAH is 3phr, the properties of the PC/ABS alloy are wonderful, and now the tensile strength is 61.0MPa, the growth ratio is 4.6%, the flexural strength is 98.7MPa, the rate of increase is 11.7%; notched izod impact strength is 61.7KJ/m2, the growth ratio is 74.3%; the equilibrium torque is 3.6Nm, falling by 0.5Nm; the distortion temperature is 112.3℃, rising by 11.
