Stirring device has a long history, stirring and mixing operation has a wide range of application in industrial production and was widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, mining, paper, paint, metallurgy, waste water treatment and other industries.Stirring is an important unit operation in chemical process, is through the agitator to convert rotating mechanical energy into kinetic energy, it is designed to produce uniform composition, promote the chemical or physical reaction, the relationship between the phase change. Agitator structure parameters and operating parameters directly affect the mixing effect, and the process of mixing effect is related to the results and the cost of the product, which makes the research on mixing theory and equipment is of great significance.In this paper, by using Fluent software to simulate the open turbine agitator in the mixing process in the water, and the particle imaging technology (PIV) with flow field in stirred tank is analyzed with the result of mixing experiment verification, so as to guide the design and optimization of mixer. In this paper, the main work and research results include:1.By using Solidworks to model the 3D modeling of open turbo agitator, and import workbench 14.0 to numerical simulate of the open turbo agitator in the mixing vessel flow field, to simulate different speeds through the power verify the theoretical power correctness formulas are derived.2.By particle image velocimetry, stirred tank flow field flow rate was within the experimental research is used in stirred tank to test the flow field and the velocity of the flow reactor. The simulation datas are compared to verify the correctness of the simulation.3.Through to analysis the simulation results of different structural parameters and operating parameters of commonly used openturbine agitator, and through to analyzes the stirring power of each parameter, to determine the optimal solution under various parameters.4.By optimizing the agitator before and after comparison of experimental and simulated to demonstrate the reasonableness of optimization.
