The techniques to modify nano-fibers membrane using metal ions are significant for the catalysis and antibacterial material. In this paper, Dopamine (DOPA) was anchored on PLA electrospun membrane surface tightly by oxidation and self-polymerization, followed Ag+ ions were reduced to Ag by the structure of phenolic hydroxyl in DOPA and then had been fixed on the surface of PLA fiber firmly, as a result that the PLA membrane loading silver nanoparticles showed the excellent antibacterial ability. Meanwhile, for comparison, dopamine methyl acrylamide (DMA) with double bond was also synthesized, and then the reduction ability and adsorption effect for Ag+ ions between DOPA and DMA were contrasted. The Polydopamine (PDA) layer acted as both a linkers between polymer membrane and silver nanoparticles and a reducing agent. This method was different from traditional method such as adding chemical reducing agent or ultraviolet light, and it is very simple and convenient, most important, it provides a new strategy for anchoring inorganic particles on the fibers surface.The research contents and conclusions were described as follows:1、PLA electrospun membrane with 300nm diameter and 25.12% porosity was prepared and then pretreated by DOPA solution to reduce and adhere Ag+ ions, as a result the silver nanoparticles with face-centered cubic crystals distributed on the surface of PLA fiber evenly.2、The optimized preparation conditions:When the concentration of the DOPA was 2mg/L and the pretreatment time was 24h, followed by the silver nitrate concentration was 10mg/mL, the silver nanoparticles could form continuous and dense layer on the surface of PLA-PDA with the maximum content was 26wt% and diameter was 20nm.3、Considering that the PLA was a hydrophobic polymer, the dopamine methyl acrylamide (DMA) with double bond was prepared and used reducing reagent, the experiment results shows that the content of silver nanoparticles was decreased significantly.4、The antibacterial activities the PLA fiber membrane loaded Ag nanoparticles showed excellent antibacterial activity.
