The Domestic LED Lamps Design For Zhongshan Qinjia Lighting Electric Factory

Household lamps, one of the products most closely related with us, play an indispensible role in people’s daily life. Nowadays, LED light is widely used in home illumination, which not only brings about remarkable changes in our traditional lighting concept and way of living, but also leads to the great innovation in home lamp design. This present paper, based on the Zhongshan Qinjia household LED lamp design program, aims to contribute to the design and development of household LED lighting products.This paper, through careful market research, investigated the main types of household lamps, their current situation in market and the developing tendency. It was found that there existed three designing method, including DIY design, light-hidden design and complanation design, which laid the theoretical foundation for this design project.The research indicates that the main products of Qinjia Lighting are LED-based lamps, in which standard screw LED bulbs are used, taking the place of filament and compact fluorescent ones. It should be noted that on one hand, this design method does not take full advantage of LED lighting property, on the other hand, as the emitting angle of LED lights is different from that of filament lamps and compact fluorescent lamps, the simple replacement of LED results in the problem of lamps’ being half black and half bright. Besides, considering the online marketing situation of Qinjia Lighting, this study also identified its problem in transaction dispute and after-service installation resulting from the breakage during the logistics process.Based on target customers’needs, this study, with wall lamps and droplights being the design objects, proposed new design lightning products, in which the fine features of LED light and DIY design method were combined together. The new design is the outcome of meticulous selection of illuminant, rigid examination of material, and ultimate optimization of structure, thereby decreasing the risk of the transport, and simplifying the DIY installation. And final project was confirmed after consideration and comparison of different plans and design work was thereafter accomplished.
