Abrasive wheel cutting machine is widely used in machinery, metallurgy, auto, spaceflight, scientific research education many fields, which is a indispensable machining equipment. With the development of material science, it requires new demand of cutting ability and quality, which thus require open new cutting equipment to fill today’s processing need.It is now ideal on cutting quality when abrasive wheel cutting machine cutting new material, it will be out of flatness on notch, cut line deviate, structure change on work surface. Focus on above questions, design one high effective, high precision and high automation abrasive wheel cutting machine can not only reduce later processing difficulty and save cost. Combine the design of complete machine outline, machine system with control system can satisfy various shape work piece and single high quality cutting process.Machine system design main to design and calculate cutting structure, transmission structure, fixture, spatial arrangement, use UG 3D modeling software to model every components and parts, assemble virtual prototype as per 1:1 of entity. UG software make parts design more accurate, location precision better, R&D period shorter. Through multiple optimizing make inner space more rational, increase processing space greatly design clamp cylindrical, rectangle, slice, polygon can increase robustness of clamping.Control system hardware use PLC as sport control center, single chip as display and human-machine exchange model, both use serial interface to communication. Control system software design write PLC and single chip communicate process, make sure the priority position of single chip. Focus on the five cut mode of different work piece to develop the largest cut mode potential. User use human-computer interface transfer process parameter and selected cut mode to PLC, PLC reflect to control one transducer, three stepper motor driver and switch element make grinding wheel, working table, swing machine complete cutting task together During working time, electromagnetic sensor, alarm device and MCU watch dog monitor the cutting process at the same time, make sure safety and stability of working.The executing part of cutting machine is grinding wheel, which Wastage has direct influence on cutting quality. During cutting process, as people make mistake and choose wrong process parameter may produce grinding wheel crack. Use UG and ANSY software establish grinding wheel, Finite element model, put different finite element to different load case ,and watch stress and strain distribution of grinding wheel, compare and analyze influence degree of contained grinding wheel wastage, to provide reference to choose process parameter and increase working life of parameter. Modal analysis for the grinding wheel piece and its main shaft, so as to avoid the damage caused by resonance occur.
