| The thesis aims at the studies on the synthesis of natural products Quinine and(+)-Gossonorol. It includes the following three parts:1.The developments of the study of potent antimalaria drug quinine(Review)Natural product Quinine is an alkaloid isolated from the bark of the cinchona. Due to its potent efficacy of treatment of malaria and complex structure, since the isolation and identification structure, many scientists has chasing synthesis of it. The first chapter describes the process of establishment of quinine formula and its stereostructure. Meanwhile, the total synthesis and semisynthesis of quinine were also summarized in details.2. The studies on synthesis of natural product quinineTwo new approaches were designed for the synthetic study of natural product Quinine. In model reactions, a Prins cyclization cascade reaction was carried out for the synthesis of quinine ring in one step. Meanwhile, synthesis of Quinine was also investigated based on Pauson-Khand reaction. Despite, we did not obtain the desired results, these investigations made us have a further understand on the synthesis of Quinine.3, The synthesis of natural product(+)-Gossonorol and its related natural productsNatural product Gossonorol were first isolated from the cotton plants with slightly floral scent and numerous biological activity, which was also a variety of synthetic precursors of natural products, such as α-Curcumene, Boivinianin B and Yingzhaosu C. A concise and effieient synthesis of(+)-Gossonorol was aehieved from 1-p-tolylethanone and 5-bromo-2-methylpent-2-ene with >99% ee in the presence of Taddol. In addition, the synthesis of Curcumene Ether and Boivinianin B’s was also studied from Gossonorol. |
