Strontium aluminate luminescent material long afterglow time, high luminous intensity, good stability, but the poor compatibility with polymer binders used in water-borne coatings, problem of poor water resistance. Organic coating preparation of strontium aluminate long afterglow luminescent coating becomes a research hotspot.Silicone acrylic emulsion, good adhesion, bibulous rate is low, transparent color. Experimental study the silicone acrylic emulsion preparation, strontium aluminate coated optimization conditions; With home-made emulsion, silicon a crylic-acid coating of strontium aluminate as filler, water as the dispersant, add other fillers and additives strontium aluminate long afterglow luminescent coating was prepared, and the coating properties have been characterized. The experimental results show that the amount of monomer was 47.37%, organic silicon monomer was 13%, preparation of silicone acrylic emulsion properties conform to the requirements of the GB/T20623-2006, coating performance is excellent, good transparency color.IR spectra analysis verified the organic silicon successfully grafted onto the acrylic polymer.KH-570 was carried out on the strontium aluminate cladding shows that after coating, strontium aluminate improved water resistance, SEM showed that luminous powder coated surface formed a complete dense cladding layer. Of KH-570 after coated strontium aluminate composite coated study showed that the KH-570+AA/MMA composite coating is the best process conditions: composite continuous cladding coating process; Reaction temperature 80℃;Acrylic coating time 2.5 h; Coating amount is 10%;The initiator dosage was 1%, the surface active agent is 0.3%.After coated luminous powder greatly increased resistance to water, in the water after 30 d without hydrolysis.SEM showed that strontium aluminate luminescent powder surface to form a transparent, complete and compact film layer. Optimization under the condition of the preparation of silicone acrylic emulsion and coating of strontium aluminate as filler, luminous paint preparation: is the best formula of 70% silicone acrylic emulsion, luminary strontium aluminate luminescent powder 7.5%, sericite powder 1%, anti-settling agent filler calcium carbonate and talcum powder 20%, 1%film-forming agent, dispersing agent, defoamer, thickener, processed in moderation.Development of luminous paint has covered strontium aluminate luminescent powder has good compatibility with silicone acrylic emulsion, water-based environmental protection, light performance is good, after time up to 12 h, the characteristics of other properties meet the national standards.
