The early retirement issue not only seriously affected the liquid production, but also increased the cost of remedial work replacing the production string, as a result, increasing the cost of crude oil exploitation.To solve the problem above, we should optimize oil production string system; select the workable program to extend the life of the production string. Aimed at the production tubing string which will touch corrosive fluid in the production process, we should choose anti-corrosive material, and for almost no corrosive oil wells we choose tubing string material according to its depth and load; Aimed at the phenomenon of eccentric wear of rod pipe, we should make stress analysis for tubing and oil rod, choose the tubing and oil rod whose minimum tensile strength are greater than maximum stress suffered strength, which can ensure safe and efficient work of the production string.This paper includes four parts:the first part is to introduce the basic concepts of the production tubing string, and analyze the influence caused by the improper production string design, noted for the urgency and importance of production string selection; The second part is to analyze forces during the pump tubing, rod string in the vertical reciprocating movement, and establish the respective maximum, minimum load model, then analyze the impact which production parameters have on oil load according to load and stress intensity model. The third part is to analyze the well inflow performance, determine the relationship between the yield of oil wells and bottom hole pressure, gain depth calculation method and selection principle of pumping parameters, conclude the oil rod design principle of oil rod design methods stress analysis method.
