Combining with development situation of jujube industry of Ningxia hui autonomous region and Xinjiang autonomous region,the project develops a automated Non-destructive testing grading machine of jujubes based on Machine Vision Technique, which will be mass-produced, popularized and applied in agriculture. This classifier, regarding comprehensive index of external qualities as grading standards, such as size, shape and color, can grade jujube rapidly with no touching. The main research contents are as follows:1. The overall structural design of the miniature automated Non-destructive testing grading machine of jujubes. The mainly working principle of whole machine was described in this chapter. The equipment was divided into several structural units.which consist of monomer orientation arrangement conveying system, multi-surface image acquisition and processing system, grading actuators, transmission mechanism and control system and each part of the equipment are introduced preliminarily.2. Study on monomer orientation arrangement conveying system of jujubes. Roller conveyor consist of chain and rollers, the shape and size of which have been designed. The inclination angle of the feeding inclined plane was designed, the inclination angle range of which is 25°~32°.In order to avoid of the phenomenon of bridging of jujubes. Combining with roller conveyor and cam intermittent motion mechanism, monomer orientation arrangement conveying of jujubes are achieved.3. Design the lighting system of graphic gathering and the processing system. We determine the shape of lights, installing position, intensity, color, and background color through experiment, then, we improve the structure of the light-house. According to the demand of multi-surface image acquisition and processing system, we select suitable webcam, design controlling circuit, and illustrate the principle of software and algorithm for graphic processing of jujube.4. Design the pneumatic grading actuators. The gas pressure range was set to 0.42~0.80MPa. Electromagnetic valve was selected, which has a longer life. After repeated tests, the operating frequency of the electromagnetic valve is set to 5 times per second.5. Design the transmission mechanism.According to the appropriate gear ratio, the speed of the motor was determined. Finally the appropriate motor models was selected. Owning to transmission shaft designed and the transmission chain which has different chain pitch selected at the same time, different types of jujubes(Fresh jujubes and Dried jujubes) can be classified.6. Assembling equipment. Grading effect of classifier has achieved requirement of designing. Signal production line graded jujube 400kg per hour for fresh jujubes and 312.5kg per hour for dried jujubes.
