Dust collector is an effective means to control air pollution. The cyclone dust collector and electrostatic precipitator has been widely used in dealing with air pollution, playing an important role in the environmental protection. The traditional cyclone dust collector is better for larger particles of dust pollution treatment, but the electrostatic precipitator has good treatment effect for small particles, and it is a focus of research and application in environmental protection. Especially with narrow-pulse power supply, is suited to remove the fine particles, and it is low energy consumption and high efficiency..This study investigates the grade efficiency of a electrocyclone that combines a cyclone and an electrostatic precipitator with narrow-pluse power supply. The experimental results show that the grade efficiency of the electrocyclone is much higher than that of the cyclone.
