High manganese steel as an excellent wear-resistant material has good toughness and work hardening ability. The steel under the action of strong impact load, its surface hardness increases rapidly, but still keeps a good toughness. Therefore, high manganese steel is widely used in mining, metallurgy, railway, building materials, electric power, coal and other large machinery and equipment, such as large jaw plate of jaw crusher, large cone crusher broken vertebral body, relieving of large excavators, etc.This experiment by using OLYMPUS-GX71 metallographic microscope, Hitachi S-4800 scanning electron microscope, RJX-8-13 type high temperature box type resistance furnace, JB- 300- B type impact testing machine, MC010-HBE-3000 type hardness tester, desktop full spectrum direct reading spectrometer(FOUNDRY-MASTER Xpert) and MLD-10 dynamic load abrasive wear testing machine and other equipment to study the ZGMn13 that by different heat treatment process, and discuss its impact on the microstructure and properties.The organization of cast high manganese steel is mostly austenitic, meanwhile it have a lot of carbides and pearlite, and a small amount of phosphorus eutectic. The carbide of the steel that enormous exists in the grains and grain boundaries, appear strip, needle-like or mesh, and it main types is(Fe, Mn)3C. The high manganese steel after water toughening treatment, carbides dissolve into austenitic organization, get single-phase austenitic organization. Because after the water toughening treatment work hardening properties of high manganese steel is not obvious, in order to improve the microstructure and properties of steel after water toughening treatment, we must to aging treatment of steel. After aging treatment of high manganese steel, the organization from the new dispersion carbide precipitation, the precipitation of carbide level is associated with the aging temperature and holding time of steel.Through experimental analysis, high manganese steel in 1050℃/0.5h+550℃/1h best comprehensive performance of heat treatment, its impact toughness is 95J/cm-2, hardness value for HB331, impact fracture is a present river pattern, at this time of toughening nest fine uniform, fibrous. The weight loss of high manganese steel is reduced by about 67%, less friction and wear surface scratches and shallow at the same time, there was no peeling off phenomenon, reached the highest degree of the whole that the wear resistance of high manganese steel is best at this time.
