Study On The Information Disclosure Of Corporate Carbon Emissions Trading In China

Global warming is one of the most serious challenges for humanity in the twenty-first Century. Climate change has become the strategic international issues in politics, economy, diplomatic benefits and national security. Governments take measures actively. Carbon emissions trading mechanism provides a high efficiency and low cost system, and our country will also establish our own carbon emissions trading system as soon as possible. Each stakeholder pays more attention to the disclosure of carbon emissions trading accounting information report, in order to satisfying the decision-making requirements of the carbon emission right trading information users of accounting information. More and more research institutions begin to review the roles of the large enterprises played in the responsibility and practice of carbon emissions trading and related accounting information disclosure, and this paper also explores this aspect actively.At present, domestic scholars started relatively late in the study of carbon emission trade. There are few searches on accounting information disclosure of carbon emissions trading. Nowadays, as the world’s largest carbon emissions country, China is the most potential carbon emissions trading provider. This paper tends to analysis problems of the domestic enterprise’s carbon emissions trading accounting information disclosure and to work out the solutions, so as to reveals the importance of carbon emissions trading accounting information disclosure.Combining with the essence of energy saving and emission reduction, this paper explains the importance and necessity of the carbon emissions trading accounting information disclosure based on relative academic research and analyzes the overall disclosure of smelting industry. This paper finds out the inadequacy of the carbon emissions trading accounting information disclosure in our country’s enterprise by choosing Baoshan Iron & Steel Co, Ltd. as an analysis case: the enterprise does not have a perfect carbon emissions trading accounting information disclosure system, and they are reluctant to disclose the information of carbon emissions voluntarily and regard carbon emissions trading information as confidential issues. It is necessary to build a carbon emissions trading disclosure of accounting information frame. To solve enterprises’ problems of carbon emissions trading disclosure of accounting information, suggestions should be given from the aspect of the social, government and enterprise, which may establish a good foundation for the implementation of energy saving and carbon reduction targets.
