The virtual teaching system is a subsystem of "virtual reality teaching system of high speed CNC machining center", which is based on the software development environment of Solid Works, Deep Exploration, Creator, VC++ and Vega Prime. 3D simulation model and virtual scene of automatic tools changing device is built, the demo animation of automatic disassembly and assembly is made, and the immersion effect of manually virtual assembly and motion simulation is realized, which satisfies the functional requirements of the virtual teaching system. The main work and research results are as follows:(1)Through the analysis for the working principle of the automatic tools changing device, the structure is designed to meet the motion demand. And Solid Works is used to establish three-dimensional model and virtual assembly according to the movement requirements.(2)Deep Exploration is used to convert the Solid Works model to the file format which creator can open. The three-dimensional model is edited, modified and controlled to achieve the establishment of 3D virtual model of automatic tools changing device.(3)By analyzing the assembly relationship of automatic tools changing device, the assembly flow-process diagram is written out. The automatic assembly animation is finished by Deep Exploration with the flow-process diagram.(4)VC++ program is used to control the motion of automatic tools changing device in the virtual space. Combined with the technology of collision detection and data glove, virtual assembly and motion simulation are achieved.(5)Based on the Vega Prime visual simulation software, the 3D virtual scene of teaching system is built by VC++, which has achieved stereoscopic effect with a good sense of immersion and reality.(6)Stereo displaying is achieved through analyzing and studying the principle of 3D stereo rendering, then the space localizer, data glove and stereo glasses is accessed,which puts the user in the virtual 3D teaching environment of the automatic tools changing device.This thesis, based on the virtual reality technology, is mainly about the "research and development on the virtual teaching subsystem of automatic tools changing device". The system with realistic 3D scene can achieve the effect of immersion in virtual reality. It supports the interaction of data glove, the keyboard and mouse. VC++ can be used for further developing the teaching simulation function, which enhances the teaching system.The innovation points are as follows: firstly, the accurate model of mechanical products can be rapidly built in the virtual environment with the combination of Solid Works and Creator. Secondly, according to the different requirements of the virtual system, two kinds of virtual reality methods of mechanical models are developed.( 1) The disassembly and assembly of mechanical model can be rapidly realized by using Deep Exploration software, which is fit for showing the animation of disassembly and assembly in the teaching process.(2)The method of achieving the virtual assembly and motion simulation is explored by using VP and VC++, which leaves the interface for the secondary development of virtual system.
