| The styrene monomer is one of the most important organic chemical materials as same as the PVC, EO and PE, which is used to produce plastics and synthetic rubber. In this paper, the main process technology and the operation conditions are introduced in detail about the 320,000 tons/year styrene monomer plant in Jilin petrochemical.At the same time, the materials and energy consumptions are stressed in this paper, and suggest a series method to reduce all kinds of consumptions. The technology of high-low pressure tower is simulated in ethylbenzene recycling unit. The energy of nearly 40% is saved by using this technology. However, the azeotropic heat recovery of ethylbenzene and water is less energy consumption in this plant, which compare with high-low pressure tower technology. |
