| N, N-dimethylformamide(DMF) is an excellent organic solvent with widely range of applications in industry. A large number of DMF wastewater have a serious impact on the environment for its toxic and biodegradable. So it is necessary to treatment the DMF wastewater, and the technology of DMF recovery is currently widely used method. Formic acid is produced form the decomposition of DMF in recycling process of DMF, affecting production such as DMF recovery rate and quality. Thereby, facilitating decomposition of formic acid to reduce acid concentration and increasing recovering rate of DMF become a exigent problem in the recycling process of DMF.The effects of palladium on carbon powder. This paper selects palladium carbon catalyst to decompose formic acid, and studies the influence on the decomposition of formic acid, together with the catalytic activity on different conditions of the amount of catalyst, reaction time, reaction temperature and the efficiency after repeated use. It turns out that the palladium carbon powder catalyst has catalytic effect on the decomposition of formic acid significantly. The ratio of the decomposition of formic acid is 99.71% on the conditions that the amount of the catalyst is 1.0 wt %, the boiled reflux is for 2h. And it can be repeatedly used.The paper researched in shaping of palladium carbon powder catalyst, in order to apply palladium on carbon powder catalyst in the industry. Sodium silicate and alumina were selected as binder. The molded palladium carbon catalyst was prepared with high mechanical strength and good catalytic activity, when the ratio of the alumina and palladium carbon catalyst was 1.5:1, the sodium silicate was about 3.1 to 3.4. The proper catalytic conditions of formed palladium carbon catalyst to formic acid were that the amount of catalyst was 3wt%, boiled reflux was for 3h, and the formic acid decomposition rate could be 79.55%. The palladium carbon catalyst showed good activity after repeated using, and the loss rate of the catalyst was low. As a result, it showed good industrial use value. |
