As our society and economy develops, we need more resource than ever before. However, it is harder to explore oil. Rotary steerable drilling and vertical drilling are new method developed these years. There is a problem in these equipment using this method. It is that the power transfer efficiency between the rotary part and the non-rotary part is very slow. This article focus on a new method of wireless electricity power transfer for oil exploration solving some problems caused by transferring electricity using wires. It dose not need to replace slip rings compared with transferring electricity with wires. This can reduce cost and explore oil more effectively.Firstly, we introduced the background of numerical calculation of electromagnetic fields and several method about their advantages and disadvantages and focused on finite element method. The circuit of contactless transformer has been analyzed and four compensation circuit has been compared and one been chosen. The result is important for our real work.Secondly, we introduced a system for transferring electricity wirelessly and the function of each module. Several factors such as distance between two coils, electricity frequency and the impedance of load that affecting power transfer had been considered and the transformer with capacitive compensation and ferrite had been simulated. According to the result, we know how to choose every value to make better transformer with less energy lost. Some method can be used to improve the efficiency of electricity such as adding compensation circuit of capacitor and ferrite. By these effort, we can reduce the loss when using contactless transformer and get large power.In conclusion, we can use the result of our work to improve the design of oil drilling system when using wireless power transfer system.
